Parenting Training

Family counseling helps a family unit improve communication and resolve conflicts.

Often, it is short term and includes all family members willing to participate. These sessions can assist with strengthening and reinforcing family connections as well as helping to gain a deeper understanding of your family and its individual members. Typical things explored during sessions include:

Problem Solving: explore your family’s ability to solve problems as well as how the family expresses thoughts and emotions.

Exploring Family Roles and Patterns: Roles, behavioral patterns, and boundaries/rules may be explored to assist with identifying sources of conflict. Processing and ways to work through conflict as well as assistance to cope and mitigate conflict will also be provided.

Identifying Strengths and Weaknesses: Strengths and weaknesses may be explored to establish patterns that should endure and patterns that may need to change to alleviate conflict.
